Data We Collect

K-Study Times collects only the minimum data required for comments, rights requests, consultation requests, newsletter sign-up, login, and privacy-minimizing traffic measurement.

• Login data: email, optional name, optional profile image
• Rights requests: name, email, optional phone, article URL, request title, and request details
• Consultation requests: name, country, preferred language, contact channel, contact value, interest area, sourcePage/contentId/ctaVariant, and optional UTM attribution fields
• Newsletter sign-up intents: email, optional name, preferred language, and newsletter/marketing/privacy consent flags
• Technical and analytics data: access logs, security audit logs, page path, referrer, and an anonymous visitor token

Purpose of Processing

• User identification and service operation
• Comment moderation and abuse prevention
• Handling legal rights-request procedures
• Responding to consultation or student-support requests
• Managing newsletter confirmation and reader preference records
• Measuring page traffic in a privacy-minimizing way

Retention and Deletion

Data is deleted without delay when legal retention periods expire or processing purposes are fulfilled. Pending newsletter intents and verification tokens are cleared after confirmation or expiry.

Resident registration numbers are not collected.
