KRW 200 Billion to Build a Virtuous Cycle Linking Universities, Jobs, Startups and Regional Settlement
Korea's Ministry of Education will provide a total of KRW 200 billion for projects across the Five Mega-Regions and Three Special Self-Governing Provinces to share regional universities' education and research resources and build an ecosystem for employment, startups and regional settlement.

Universities – employment and startups – regional settlement Total financial support of KRW 200 billion to build a virtuous-cycle ecosystem ▷ Support active sharing of regional universities' education and research resources across the Five Mega-Regions and Three Special Self-Governing Provinces · Establish 9 “shared university” models that bring together flagship national universities, other national and private universities, and general and vocational colleges within the Five Mega-Regions and Three Special Self-Governing Provinces, with a total project budget of KRW 120 billion in 2026 ▷ Implement the “Super-Regional Growth Engine Talent Development” project, in which local governments, universities and companies jointly develop work-ready talent · Establish talent-development models for regional strategic industries involving multiple local governments, select about 6 outstanding models and provide a total project budget of KRW 80 billion in 2026
