Five four-year universities in Incheon recruit international students: Gyeongin National University of Education, Anyang University Incheon Campus, Incheon Catholic University, Incheon National University and Inha University. Even within Incheon, their campuses are spread across Gyeyang District, Michuhol District, Songdo and Ganghwa County. Here, applicants should check the actual campus address and living area before relying on the city name.

Incheon has an international airport and port, while Songdo concentrates biotechnology industries and the research and corporate base of the free economic zone. In its 2026 RISE plan, the city said it would connect university talent development with six strategic industries—biotechnology, semiconductors, aviation, future mobility, robotics, data and digital technology—as well as marine affairs and logistics. Incheon is not one commuting area

The main campuses of Incheon National University and Incheon Catholic University are in Songdo. Inha University is in Michuhol District, and the Incheon Campus of Gyeongin National University of Education is in Gyeyang District. Anyang University Incheon Campus is in Ganghwa County, so its travel conditions differ from those of universities in central Incheon. Incheon Catholic University also separates its Songdo International Campus and Ganghwa Campus.

If applicants do not confirm which campus houses their intended department, their housing and commuting plan may be wrong. City images such as access to the airport or Seoul are useful references, but a real budget should be calculated from the distance between the campus, dormitory, subway station and bus-transfer points.

The Incheon Foreign Residents Support Center provides Korean-language education, living, labor and legal consultations, interpretation and translation, and cultural-adaptation programs. Four-year universities in the 2025 disclosures

Incheon Catholic University was recorded in the raw disclosure data with its main campus and a second-campus candidate together, so the figures were not fixed as one value. This does not mean the university was omitted; campus-level figures need to be reconciled. The university has headquarters, the College of Plastic Arts and the College of Nursing in Songdo and the College of Theology in Ganghwa, so applicants should check admissions guides and costs for the department they seek.

The five universities have clearly different characters

Gyeongin National University of Education

Gyeongin National University of Education is a special-purpose university focused on training elementary-school teachers. Ethics, Korean language, social studies, mathematics, science, physical education, music, art and English education are core fields, and its Center for International Exchange and External Cooperation handles commissioned training for international students and overseas education exchange. Rather than expecting broad international undergraduate recruitment like at a comprehensive university, applicants should first check eligible programs and teacher-qualification conditions in the admissions guide.

Anyang University Incheon Campus

Anyang University's Ganghwa Campus lists marine biotechnology engineering, smart-city engineering, sports fields and the Department of K-Culture Korean Studies. Its 2025 disclosed dormitory capacity rate was high at 82.7%, but it had 0 international students. It is included in the recruitment roster, so the key question for the next international-admissions cycle is which departments actually recruit at the Ganghwa Campus, the language of instruction and dormitory selection.

Incheon Catholic University

Incheon Catholic University separates fine arts, design and nursing at its Songdo International Campus from theology at its Ganghwa Campus. The Songdo campus provides shuttle and bus information near Technopark Station. Because the university is not organized as a single cluster of majors, applicants should choose their department and campus together.

Incheon National University

Incheon National University is a national university in Songdo. Its International Support Division provides information on international-student coordinators, employment-support lectures, dormitory applications and group foreigner-registration applications. A dormitory notice for the first semester of 2026 said demand had increased and supply was insufficient, so applicants should check the application timing and selection criteria early, separately from the 22.2% capacity rate.

Inha University

Inha University is a comprehensive university with strong regional links in engineering, logistics and aviation. Its AI-convergence education materials describe curricula that connect manufacturing, logistics, airports, ports and health care with industries specialized in Incheon. International undergraduate applicants should confirm the actual recruitment unit and language of instruction in the latest international-admissions materials; its disclosed average annual tuition is KRW 8,223,800.

Choose the area in the order of major, campus and housing

The five universities differ in their central fields: education and teacher training; marine biotechnology and sports; art, nursing and theology; a national comprehensive university; and engineering, logistics and aviation. First determine the major and whether recruitment is available, then locate the campus of that department on a map. Next calculate dormitory or off-campus housing and commuting.
