Individual applicants should first confirm they have TOPIK Level 2 or higher

The official admissions application notice for this winter term states that individual applicants may apply only if they hold TOPIK Level 2 or higher. Checking your TOPIK level before reviewing the application schedule lets you determine whether you are eligible to apply.

The Korean Language Center itself offers courses from beginner through advanced levels. The 2026 admissions guide lists Beginner 1–2 at TOPIK Levels 1–2, Intermediate 1–2 at TOPIK Levels 3–4, and Advanced 1–2 at TOPIK Levels 5–6. Separately from those course-level descriptions, individual eligibility for this winter term requires TOPIK Level 2 or higher.

Gachon University Korean Language Center is on the Global Campus in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do

Gachon University’s Global Campus, where the Korean Language Center operates, is located at (13120) 1342 Seongnam-daero, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Applicants should verify that the school location is the Global Campus in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.

When traveling by subway, use Gachon University Station as the reference point. Gachon University’s official campus tour guide lists the meeting point as the 1st floor of Vision Tower in front of Exit 1 of Gachon University Station. Before entering Korea, checking both the Seongnam Global Campus and Gachon University Station on a map can help when planning housing or a commuting route.

  • Copy of passport
  • Copies of the applicant’s and parents’ identification documents
  • Family-relation or birth-related documents proving that both the student and parents are foreign nationals, with the required English notarization
  • Graduation certificate and transcript from the most recent school

The bank-balance requirement differs by current place of residence. Applicants residing outside Korea must show at least USD 10,000 or the equivalent, while applicants residing in Korea must show at least KRW 10,000,000 in a bank balance certificate.
